Quick and easy access. The GRAD EZ plan gives users a choice to purchase the GRAD assessment tool in bundles of 10, 50 or 100 individual uses. The eleven domains of the GRAD were built to measure potential threats to adolescent well-being. There are 132 items on the youth, adult and professional versions of the assessment. The complete assessment takes approximately 20 minutes to administer. Note: Individuals utilizing GRAD in an interview format that allows for additional discussion beyond specific responses to each item should set aside 45 minutes to an hour in order to administer the complete assessment tool.
Secure web environment. The GRADcis system is a multi-tiered, secure website environment. Individual user accounts are monitored 24 hours a day in order to maintain the overall security of the system and the data contained within the site. In order to enhance this security, the GRADcis system will periodically require that the user authenticate and/or update their current password in the system. If you need assistance with the authentication process, please contact a member of the GRAD technology team and someone will assist you.
The choice of perspectives. The GRAD measures the youth level of risk. Currently there is a child version (for ages 6-10), a youth version (for ages 11-19), a professional version of the assessment for social workers, court staff, school personnel and community-based workers and an adult caregiver version of the GRAD instrument. Users have the option to collect assessment information with the child or adolescent only, the parent only, the professional only, or to collect information from multiple perspectives. When administering the professional version or the adult version of the assessment, the user is asking the adult caregiver and/or professional about their perceptions of the child’s or adolescent’s levels of risks and needs.
Instantaneous scoring. There is no need to send your assessments away for scoring. No need to engage in the cumbersome process of reading a manual to understand how to hand-score the tool. The GRAD assessment results are generated automatically at the touch of a button.
Choice of population norms. The GRAD database contains information on more than 9,000 youth and families. This large and constantly refreshed sample contains youth who have come to the attention of various entry points in juvenile courts (detention, probation, etc.), as well as community-based organizations. Choose the population norms that are just right for you based on profiles developed from the GRAD’s extensive database in order to have your assessments scored instantly.
Results that are easy to read. The GRAD scoring grid is simple and easy to read for the youth- and family-serving professional. The individualized domain scoring provides the user with a snapshot of high, moderate, and low risks that can be used to inform programming and treatment decisions.
Individual client ID tracking. The GRAD client ID system utilizes an alpha-numeric coding system. The Identification number for each youth registered in the system is generated by the GRADcis system upon submission of the youth demographic information. Assessments completed on adult caregivers/family members or service professionals working with the youth will be tracked under the “youth ID number”.
Results of the assessments are accessible for seven (7) business days following the administration of the tool to a youth, adult family member or professional.
Free on-line customer support for questions and concerns.
